About Us
EVALUCON was established in 2002 in Irvine, California as an independent global extension of Sam Woo Electronics, our parent company located in the Industrial Complex of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
Founded over 40 years ago, Sam Woo Electronics is our primary factory and R&D headquarters, where we work with global manufacturing partners to source the best options for our customers. Our priority is to make sure the manufacturing facilities we work with meet the global standards for quality and provide a safe and fair work ecosystem.
The origin of the name EVALUCON derives from “value” and “connector,” our original product specialization. The “E” represents our managing principles in “ecosystem,” “empowerment,” and “excellence.”
We have since expanded our core competencies and are involved in factory automation, building securities and sensors, and electrical mobility battery packs.
Most recently we have entered the EVSE market, utilizing our core competencies in circular connectors and cable assembly to supply fast charging connection solutions and meet the growing needs in electric vehicle infrastructure. Our Buy America compliant couplers and cables are proudly made in Irvine, California, which are in the Korean and American Market.
